Thanks to the 20 players who turned out and all contributed to an impressive victory. Sunderland were very much on the defensive in the first 15-20 mins. Thanks to great defence from Adam Reay and the midfield of Jordan, Bains and Cowans the 2XV weathered the storm and began to build a momentum that Morpeth, despite their best efforts struggled to contain. Highlights included 2 tries from O'Donovan and 2 tries from Halford. Michael Brace having his gout affected foot stood on was good to see too.
