The 2s shine through!!!

With a well structured 45 minute warm up we made our intentions clear from the first whistle.
Fast flowing, positive, physical rugby.

After throwing the kitchen sink at ponteland we managed to score four first half tries despite their solid defence, courtesy of Jamie sword, Chris little, Aaron s and Chris jones. With two converted by woody.
Ponteland bagged a converted try before the break.

The second half was a different story with us making a number of changes all round and fatigue setting in from such an intense first half.
Something had to give!
A try from Andy "invincible" black and two ponteland tries made the final score 29 - 19.

The highlights were:
continuity of play,
phase play,
ball recycling,
support.

Jamie swords relentless carries and lineout work, Aaron stevensons aggression and energy.
Dom and swannys lines of attack and hand offs.
Matty "the sniper" jones try saving tackle was great to watch!

Our defence all round was strong, in particular from James Fraser, Andy black, Padge and Cogga.

Not forgetting our jonny parker for managing the first 40 minutes with boy flu.

This was one of our best squad performances this season against a very competent ponteland side.

Man of the match was Swanny with his bomb diffusing skills and several runs from his own 22, always making good yardage and providing strong defence.
