Sunderland wade through mud to victory.

As the mist settled on a freezing corner of Yarm RUFC, the U9s battled temperatures dipping below zero to pull off one of their most outstanding performances of the season, so far.
With four players hit by a combination of novo virus and trench foot at pitchside, the lads took the pitch, touched down and kept scoring.
Led by an aggressive blitz defence, the visitors pressurised hosts Yarm into turnover after turnover, as the Wearsiders racked up 17 tries - winning 85-10.
Yarm, tenacious throughout played their part, but struggled to contain a hard-hitting defence, led by Ryan Crossley and Aiden Wilkinson, and a direct attack, spearheaded by Adam Williams and Ethan Ellis.
Joseph Calvert and Adam Shiels both made a series of confident hits, while Jack Cahill attempted to ice skate his way through a retreating Yarm defence. Khaynan Hanson and Tom Howe, both supported with dogged attacks around the flanks, while Alex Middleton grew in confidence as the game progressed.
Flying Sam Watson found his way to the try line during a scoring spree, led by a seven-try Adam Williams. Crossley touched down five times, with Ellis (2) and Wilkinson (2) adding to the try scorers.
Best Rugby Attitude: Ethan Ellis.
