

Sunderland u7 attended Darlington Mowden Park for a re arranged mini festival. Mowden showed the clubs strength being able to field three teams against Sunderland one. Sunderland were rotated and managed to play seven games against strong opposition.
Game 1
A good opening game seeing Poppy Tomplinson score three try's. Not letting the teams only girl take all the credit Ethan Fogg continued his introduction to rugby claiming a try for himself.
Game 2
Ethan Fogg and Poppy dominated the scoring with two tries each but thanks to some brilliant support work and off loads by Ethan Ivor and Kye Duke.
Game 3
Ethan Fogg picked three try's in this game but injured himself scoring his last. Young Jude Dixon made his first appearance at only four in his place. He ran and passed and didn't look out of place with his older peers. Poppy claimed another try and Ethan Ivor got his first try with a string run through two Mowden defenders.
Game 4
This game saw Ewan Caffery score four try's. With Kye Dyke picking one of his own between the four. The games appeared to be tiring Sunderland with Mowden showing some brilliant runs themselves.
Game 5
Ewan continued his scoring style scoring another try with Kye shortly behind with another one for himself. Ethan Fogg, the try machine, scored another two. Poppy and Ethan Ivor organising the defence with near perfect flat lines.
Game 6
The squad was strengthen by sleepy head Jamie Haugstad. Jamie used his expire cen to organise the defence and build a two attacking moves to put Ethan Fogg in for two of him four try's. Ewan showed speed beating three players down the line to score another.
Game 7
Scoring his the first try of his young rugby career was Jamie Haugstad. Braking the stalemate of some excellent defending. Jamie ran the full length of the field to put the ball down in the corner. Ethan Fogg and Etan Ivor collected a try each with Poppy show her evasion skills again to score another two.
Another brilliant start to the season for Sunderland, a big thank you to the hosts DMP whom rotated teams around to accommodate the us and allow a fair mix within each team.
