Sunderland hosted there first tag festival of this season with vistors comings from Westoe, West Hartlepool, Horden, Middlesbough, Acklam and Redcar. A round robin with every team playing each other was held with a two minute silence to remember those who have fallen at 11:00.

I'd firstly congratulate the commitment of the Sunderland back room, a tuck shop was ran, every player and coach were caterered for, the under six session was accommodated and support to the coaching team was second to none. A big thank you to all involved , thanks for the support.

The Sunderland player made a brilliant account of themselves on and off the field.

Etahn Fogg continued his try scoring ability. Claiming a try in every game he played in. There isn't a situation where this Young Man can't score.

Young Freddy was a tackling machine, doubling up on some tackles. His ability didn't stop there, he scored in situations I didn't think a try was possible.

Ewan showed his dominance in running the full length of the field to score more than once. His strength lies in close play around the rucks where he puts his body on the line on some tackles.

Jamie continued to improve claiming or assisting in a try in each game. Jamie also showed he has a voice and directed the defensive play when Sunderland heads were down.

Poppy organised the defensive line with the voice to embarrass the All black Haka. She continued to score try's to envy players above her age grade.

Ethan Ivory is developing into a great full back, sweeping the back line to constantly save try's. He is developing into a great back line player. Very dependable player.

Kye duke was one of the players of the day, taking everything form training into the game. Vocally he has come on a lot and unselfishly assisted in more try's than any one from any team today.

New player Toby slotted right into the team, scoring more than once in his first festival and captaining one game to direct the defensive line. Devlopeing every game with his running lines.

The under 7 team is developing into a strong squad. I am very proud to be a part of this team. They go from strength to strength.
