This week the under 7 were at Westoe. A blustery day meant ball was going to be carried in hand restricting passing the ball out wide. Westoe are great hosts and managed to route there squad to give Sunderland three games.

Game 1
First game captain Poppy really knows how to implement a defensive line, shouting left and right at her male team mates she showing true leadership qualities.The games scoring was opened by Kye, a brilliant solo run down the right flank. Poppy continued her try scoring form claiming one in this game. Ewan made a solid run through a difficult mix of big Westie defenders to claim his first for the day. New player Tim in his first game scored three try's. Old head Jamie gained his second try if the season running the while length of the field.

Game 2
Captain this game was Ethan Ivor, Ethan found his voice and rallied the players in attack and defence. Ewan again showed his strength with a dominate run to score the first of this game. Kye shortly followed with another side step to beat the a strong Westoe defender. Poppy claimed herself another two try's. There isn't a game without Poppy scoring this season. Ewan finished the game off with anther try himself.

Game
With the rain setting in and a few players feeling injuries in the hands from some brilliant tagging. Captain Jamie rallied the troops and lifted the spirits ready for the game. Ewan opened the score card for the team with a route one run straight down the middle the stepping to take the space down the left side. Poppy not to be left out made another full length run to score in the corner. Ethan Ivor took advantage of the Sunderland continuity and scored his first of the day. With newcomer Tim finishing off the final play of the game with another try himself.

Player of the day had to go to new comer Tim, who was quiet at first but showed true class in both defence and attack. I've never seen a player take as many tags as he did well done. Well done to all the a Sunderland players showing a hospitable Westoe squad some bid rugby on the Road.
